William A. O'Hara, 55, passed away Feb. 23, 2008, surrounded by family and friends following a courageous battle with cancer. He was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease and lived nine very strong years with a kidney donated by our dearest friend Vicky Tejada. He was born April 17, 1952 in Phoenix, AZ to James and Norma O'Hara. Bill spent several years as a manufacturing engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation where he met the love of his life, Cyndee. They married March 21, 1981, and have been inseparable ever since. Their love and adoration for each other was unsurpassed. He loved fly fishing, the Boston Celtics, and music. His passion for life was contagious. Bill was an adoring father and friend. Bill is survived by his wife, Cyndee; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Steve Riddle; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Scott Reszka; and "the son he never had," James Rhodes. He was beloved "Papa" to his five grandchildren Kayla, Joshua, Arianne, Brennen and Jacob. He is further survived by his sisters Bonnie and Mary O'Hara; his sister and brother-in-law, Chonnie and Eric Lundberg; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Barbara Ireland; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wendy and Lee Maxwell; his brother-in-law, Todd Ireland; his niece and his two nephews. A wake to remember Bill's courage, friendship and love will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Steve and Brandi Riddle's home. Memorials in Bill's name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Polycystic Kidney Foundation. We would like to thank our friends and family for their love and support during this difficult time. French Mortuary, Inc. 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400 www.frenchmortuary.com
