Obituary for MCDONOUGH

Corrilea Baldwin McDonough, age 92, passed away on February 21, 2008 following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, John A. (Jack) McDonough, who was a general superintendent with the former Fred Harvey Co. Prior to her death, Mrs. McDonough served in numerous civic and community activities, including March of Dimes, Junior League, United Way and golfing associations. Her professional career included secretary to the president of New Mexico Tech, Socorro and a number of years with the savings and loan associations in Albuquerque. Corrilea also wrote articles for The Albuquerque Tribune social pages. Mrs. McDonough is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sandy McDonough; two grandsons, David and Bryan; daughter-in-law, Pam McDonough; great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Dani Young and Parker McDonough, all of Houston; along with several nieces and nephews and good friend, Andy Livingston. The family wishes to thank MaryAnn Karimi as Corriela's caregiver and the wonderful support of Presbyterian Hospice. Special thanks to her caring friend, Andy Livingston, he was her special friend sent from God, especially in the last eight months of Corrilea's life. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Fairview Memorial Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd SE. Her cremains were interred beside her husband.
