Mary Elizabeth White Sowa, 88, went to be with the Lord February 15, 2008. Mary is survived by her children, Peter Sowa, III and wife, Cynthia, of Thousand Oaks, CA, Richard Sowa and wife, Marilyn, of Washington, DC, and Dr. Polly Baird of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rene Davis and husband, Ken, Richard M. Sowa, Ariane Sowa, Alexis Sowa, Bryn Sowa, and Bari Elizabeth Sowa; great grandchildren, Spenser, Taylor, Olivia, Devon, and Gresham; as well as many other family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Peter; and her parents, May Phillips White and Richard Earl White. Mrs. Sowa had been a member of Calvary Chapel, and was a teacher in her younger years. As well as playing bridge, Mary loved to travel with her husband, and was an avid reader. Mary was a gentle, classy lady and will be dearly missed. Services will be held Friday, February 22, 2008, 12:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with private Burial to follow. Friends may visit on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel.
