Obituary for PUTHOFF

ARTHUR Brother Arthur Puthoff, O.F.M., died at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque on February 13, 2008. He was born the son of Adam F. Puthoff and Johanna (nee Schnurr) Puthoff on August 22, 1920, in Cincinnati, Ohio where he grew up. He made his first profession of vows on August 16, 1942. Brother was stationed in Chinle, Houck and Lukachukai, Arizona; Calumet, Michigan; Grants and Gallup, New Mexico. Brother Arthur was chauffeur to Bishop Bernard Espelage, O.F.M., DD, the first bishop of the Diocese of Gallup, New Mexico. He retired to the Franciscan friary in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1998. He is survived by siblings Harry Puthoff , Palm Harbor, Florida, and Margaret Gallenstein, Mary Koch, Sally Holthaus and Bob Puthoff, of Cincinnati, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews. Reception of the body and Rosary will take place at St. Teresa of Avila Parish in Grants, NM on Sunday evening, February 17, 2008, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila Church on Monday morning, February 18, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Grants Community Cemetery.
