Janet Roberta Duckett, age 77 of Placitas, NM, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 at a local care facility. She was born on March 16, 1930 in Matawan, New Jersey to Tinius and Judith Disch. She married Robert Duckett on September 6, 1953 in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Duckett was a current member of First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho. Surviving her are husband of 54 years, Robert L.; her children; Denise Duckett-Soares and her husband Edward of Wilton, CT, Robbin May and her husband Chuck of Bethel, CT, Rachel Duckett Marotta and her husband Frank of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Reynolds Duckett and his wife Heidi of Brookfield, CT, her grandchildren Robert and Rachel May; Carly Way, Geoffrey Schultz, and Elijah Marotta; Jessica, Alden, and Robert Joseph Duckett. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judith Kampe of Westfield, NJ. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave., Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will take place in Pittsburg, TX.
