Lophelia (Sarge) Schweitzer, 84, a longtime Albuquerque resident, died Thursday, January 31, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Jones Bailey of Albuquerque; son, Wayne Jones of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Shannon Albreski of Albuquerque, Julie Jones Wagner of Albuquerque, Damon Jones of Grand Junction, CO, and Jennifer Bailey of San Diego, CA; five great-grandchildren; sister, Nadia Clouse of Moriarty, NM; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Albert Schweitzer in 1995. She was retired after 35 years of service from Mountain Bell. Mrs. Schweitzer was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Sarge and her husband (Big Al) enjoyed their family, friends, and fishing trips. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2008 at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
