Paul Bertrand Keliiaa, Born 21, March 1954. Paul Bertrand Keliiaa, award winning artist, noted poet and beloved grandfather, father, son, brother, and uncle left this life Saturday, January 26, 2008. Paul attended Del Norte High School and graduated from Freedom High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Paul continued his education at Haskell University in Lawrence Kansas, and graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Paul was preceded in death by his father, John Bertrand Keliiaa; and nephews, Mark Damon Kupsick and Christopher Keliiaa Kupsick. Paul is survived by his loving daughter, Sara Keliiaa Duquette, husband, Andre, and granddaughters, Arielle and Olivia; mother, Lenora Scott Keliiaa; sons, Kris Borland and Jason Hollar; sisters, Gloria and Cassie Keliiaa; brothers, John and Curtis Keliiaa; nephews, David Kupsick, Cody Keliiaa, John Keliiaa; grandnephews, Christopher Kupsick, and Eric Stone; grandnieces, April and Dakota Kupsick and friend Michelle Baca. The family will hold a private service and wishes to thank all those who contributed to the richness of Paul's life. For those wishing to contribute the family requests memorial donations be made to the Institute of American Indian Arts.
