O. Michael Stolz, age 63, of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, January 21, 2008 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born May 20, 1944 in Joplin, MO. to Otto M. Sr. and Honora Stolz. Michael was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving with the United States Air Force. Following his service he moved to New Mexico in 1970. He made his living as a mechanic and most recently for Welch Equipment of Albuquerque. He married Barbara A. Schwarz of Cincinnati, OH on January 22, 1972. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Meredith L. Stolz; his son, John T. Stolz; and his grandson, Michael C. Salinas, his sisters, Mary Soto and Margaret Stolz; and his mother-in-law, Rosella Schwarz, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Honora. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 24, 2008, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 25, 2008, 9:00 a.m., at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Thursday, January 24, 2008, 1:00 p.m. until the Rosary.
