Obituary for TORRES

Crespin "Chris" Torres, age 72 died restfully in the arms of loving wife Susana and surrounded by his four children on January 18, 2008. Mr. Torres was born in Las Palomas NM May 18, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ismael and Louisa and brother, Alberto Torres. He is survived by his wife, Susana; daughter, Donna Torres; and husband, Jim; sons, Albert Torres, Patrick Torres and wife, Josette, and Danny Torres and wife Alicia; brothers, Tacho and Ismael; sisters Melda, Marry Helen, Viola, Catalina and Theresa; and many nieces and nephews. Chris was a proud Air Force veteran and a Teamster retiree. He will always be remembered as the man with a great sense of humor, always wearing his cowboy hat and shiny cowboy boots. Crespin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and caring friend. Pallbearers will be George Watson, Patrick Torres, Arthur Martinez, Gabriel Torres, Christopher Torres and Mike Anaya, and honorary pallbearer Grady Young. Visitations will take place Tuesday January 22 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Salazar and Sons Mortuary 400 3rd Street SW. A rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Santuario de San Martin catholic church.
