Ronald T. Lawlor, 63, a long-time resident of Rio Rancho, died January 11, 2008. The New York native was born June 2, 1944 to Timothy and Emily Ziegler Lawlor, and in 1970 married Elizabeth Potucek. He attended Nassau Community College, but left early to join the Air Force and serve his country. Founder of Lawlor Enterprises, he and his wife ran their own business for many years. He was a charter member of the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. Ronald always enjoyed meeting new people and he was loved by many. He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle K. Lawlor and fiance Mike Johnstone of Mesa, AZ and Stephanie Smith and husband, Sean of Rio Rancho; two grandsons, Wesley Alexander Smith and Hayden Patrick Smith; aunt, Lillian Ziegler; and uncle, Jerry Ziegler, all of Rio Rancho. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth in 2005 and by his parents. A visitation will be held Monday, January 14, 2008, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Home Chapel, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, January 17, 2008, 3:00 p.m., also at Daniels Family Funeral Chapel. Entombment of cremated remains will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Rio Rancho.
