Billy Jack Baxter, age 54, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at a local care facility. He was born August 7, 1953 in Raymondville, TX to Jay and Jeanie Baxter. Billy Jack was an Oil Field Machinist, after which he went on to pursue scuba diving instruction at Escambia Bay Marine Institute in Florida. He enjoyed writing and was a published poet. Billy Jack loved animals, nature, riding his bike, jeeping and traveling. He loved his nephew, Marcus and niece, Lacie with all of his heart. Billy Jack is survived by his mother, Jeanie Baxter of Albuquerque; his sister, Betty Jo Doster of Stephenville, TX; his nephew, Marcus Reid of Albuquerque; his niece, Lacie Hamilton of College Station, TX; and his brother-in-law, Mark Reid of Albuquerque.
