Sharon Elaine Gilmer, 64, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008. She is survived by her mother, Elaine Nickerson of Albuquerque; daughter, Margay Erne and husband, Stuart, of Tijeras; son, Dana Gilmer and wife, Dori, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jarrod, Siera and Briana Gilmer, and Max and Jake Erne; great-grandchildren, Easton, Chassity and Breeana Gilmer; aunts, Louise Burton and husband, Ernest, of Albuquerque, and Agnes Young of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Debbie Gilmer; and numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Rick Gilmer. Sharon was a very giving and caring person. She had a very deep faith and was a very spiritual person. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Her second passion was collecting Victorian antiques. Services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel. Friends and family may visit two hours prior from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
