Eugene Lee McGehee, 86, passed away December 29, 2007. He was born on April 24, 1921, in View, Texas, to Merle and Aubrey McGehee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Norman. Gene is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth; his daughters, Gale and Paula; four grandchildren; almost five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who love him dearly. Gene and Elizabeth were longtime residents of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They fell in love with that city while Gene was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in 1944. Gene had planned to be a Commercial Artist, and when he retired in August of 1990 from the Albuquerque Publishing Company after 41 years, he was also the Advertising Director. Gene left behind many loved ones and special friends. He will be so greatly missed.
