Maria Pilar Baca went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2007 at the age of 76. She was born on March 1, 1931 to Frank Sr. and Barnardina Barela in San Marcial, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Fidencio Garcia Baca Sr., who passed away in May of 1993. She is survived by her seven children: Johnny Barela, Dolores Pulido, Regina Biddle, Fidencio Baca Jr. and wife, Diane, Raul Baca, Thomas Baca, and Aubrianna Baca. She is also survived by her siblings, Frank Barela Jr., and Marcella Barela; along with her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all. A Graveside Service for Maria will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church.
