Virgil Garcia went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2007 at the age of 85. He was born on May 15, 1922 in Muleshoe, Texas to Alejandro and Maria Garcia. Virgil served in WWII for the United States Army. He loved music and dancing. He was preceded in death by Joe Garcia and Pablo Garcia. He is survived by his companion, Maria F. Valdez; his three sons, Gabriel Garcia and wife, Stella, Daniel Garcia and Arturo Garcia, his sisters, Amelia Urban and husband, Marcos and Augustina Baca and husband, Joe. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great child. He will be missed by all. Visitations will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Stover Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Garcia Mortuary. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
