Obituary for AGUILAR

BEATRICE AGUILAR, died in peace on Friday, December 14, 2007 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Aguilar; son, James Rodriguez; and brother, Pete Leal. She devoted her life to the nurture and love of her children and grandchildren and gave them everything she had. She was humble, devout and humorous. She worked for many years as a cook in several restaurants in Albuquerque including, Rio Grande Cantina and Waldos. Her love of cooking has been passed down to her family and her dedication to nurturing others will bless her loved ones forever. She loved music and never passed up a chance to go someplace or enjoy something new. Her gentle humor and selfless love will be forever missed. Beatrice leaves behind her daughters, Florence Dahme, Louise Jaramillo, Catherine Aguilar and husband, Bob Gregg of Espaola and Peggy Connelly and husband, James; son, Joseph Aguilar; sisters, Viola Leal and Josie Trujillo and husband, Frank; brother, Ralph Leal; sister-in-law and good friend, Esther Ruiz; brothers-in-law, Antonio Aguilar and wife, Gert, John Aguilar and wife, Esther and Chris Prado;16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, including one due in March and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espaola. Cremation to follow services. Burial to take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. The following will serve as pallbearers, Bob Gregg, Jim Connelly, John Ortiz, Joseph Aguilar, John Aguilar and Frank Trujillo.
