Napoleon Ortiz, 78, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with God and loved ones on Monday, December 10, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Ortiz; children Edward Ortiz and wife, Ruth, Leroy Riggs, Yolanda Voyles and husband, Vern, Yvonne Riggs and partner, Ramona, Michael Riggs, Shirley Riggs Gonzales and husband, Floyd, Brenda Montoya and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Michaela Colendres, Amanda Ortiz, Tawni Voyles, and Aspen Montoya; two great-grandchildren; brother Sostenes Ortiz and wife, Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Mr. Ortiz was preceded in death by two brothers, Pedro Ortiz and Alfonso Ortiz and two sisters, Emelia Gonzales and Pedrita Garbarino. Napoleon was born on May 2, 1929 in Las Vegas, NM. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired firefighter. Rosary will be held Thursday, December 13, 2007, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
