RICHARD CHARLES SR. Rev. Dr. Richard Charles Pflieger, Sr., 71, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 4, 2007. He was born August 6, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late William Charles and Bernice Holt Pflieger. Upon graduation from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 1961, Rich served in many areas of ministry in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod including serving in the mission field, on college campuses, and pastoring churches. He retired in 1998. Rich loved the Lord and being a pastor. He loved to share the Gospel message. Rich was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by sons, Charlie and wife Joselyn of Albuquerque, Paul and wife, Amy of Woodbury, MN; Dan and wife, Sandy of Greeley, CO and Tim of Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren, Rebekah, Deanna, Elizabeth, Evan, Kelsey, Mason, Ryne, Mitchell, and Hailey; two sisters, Eileen Gundell and husband, Art of Kaneohe, HI, and Judith Johnson and husband, Miles of Waupaca, WI; three brothers, Robert Pflieger and wife, Donna of Seward, NE, Russ Pflieger and wife, Jo of Gurnee, IL, and Bruce Pflieger and wife, Jackie of Danbury, CT. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 10, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SE with Rev. Randy Walquist officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary University Blvd. Chapel, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 9, 2007.
