Joan M. Nichols was born on Aug 1, 1922 in Savannah, MO and died unexpectedly on December 1, 2007. Joan lived a happy and full life as a long-time Albuquerque resident. She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Linda Kay Nichols of Albuquerque and Dr. Billie Maris Thompson and son-in-law, Dr. Kirk Daniel Thompson of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Maris Thompson, Mark Daniel Thompson, and Alisha Nichole Nichols; four great-grandchildren, Deanna and Nima Badizadegan, Chase and Kayla Thompson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joan celebrated life and will be missed by all. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd., NE, at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 6, 2007. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in Joan's name to the CUMC Helping Hands Ministry.
