Antoinetta Day, 82, a resident of Rio Rancho, went home to join the Lord and her husband on Monday, November 19, 2007. Antoinetta was born July 12, 1925 in San Diego, CA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Putting her family first and always willing to give a helping hand. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, loved playing the card game "Rummy". Some of her favorite TV shows included "Matlock" and Cowboy movies. She was very fond of Baseball. Sammy Sosa being one of her favorites, along with the San Diego Padres. She also enjoyed getting out for a good game of Bingo. She was a member of the Elks Lodge. Antoinetta was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Day, Sr.; one sister, Annie Staggs; and one brother, Herman Maio. She is survived by five children, Richard Stuefen of San Diego, CA, Joann Brown and husband, Jim of Kennewick, WA, Willie Spencer of San Diego, CA, John C. Day, Jr. and wife, Pam of Rio Rancho, NM, and Cheryl Duenez and husband, Oscar of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Nicholas Spencer and Jodi Spencer of Rio Rancho, and Justin DeHaven of San Diego, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Cody Spencer of Rio Rancho, NM and Camren Loranger of Rio Rancho. We all love her and will miss her very much!! A very special thanks to the "team" at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. The visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. The Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services with Pastor J.E. "Bud" Tidman officiating.
