Mildred E. Schreifels, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007. Mildred was born May 3, 1923 the daughter of Lawrence and Nellie Fowler Northcott in Bowleggs, Oklahoma. She was a devoted member of Covenant Christian Church in Rio Rancho. Mildred was an active member of the Young at Heart group. She loved to paint watercolors and oils, and always had several craft projects going at once. Mildred also enjoyed quilting and sewing. Her greatest joy came from being around family and friends. Mildred is survived by her husband of 61 years, Orval; son, Norm and wife Lisa of Corrales; daughter, Sindy Dorsey of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Kristen and Kali Schreifels of Corrales; Michelle Pomles and Ronnie Dorsey; six great grandchildren; and three brothers, Wayne Northcott of MN, Jim Northcott of CA, and Cecil Northcott and wife Gloria of TX. The Visitation for Mildred will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the Service at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho with Pastor Scott DeVore of the Covenant Christian Church officiating.
