Wanda Ettinger, 87, of Alamogordo, NM, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007, in Alamogordo. Mrs. Ettinger was born May 15, 1920 in Highland, KS to Glenn Forest and Hazel (Shofstall) Heckman. She was a co-owner of an advertising agency in Cedar Rapids, IA. Upon her retirement she moved to Socorro and then to Alamogordo in 1999. She enjoyed golf - was an excellent putter, loved flower gardening, and her family was very dear to her. Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Maynard and her husband, Kenneth of High Rolls, and Linda Gail Carter and her husband, Jim of Albuquerque; beloved grandchildren; great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a sister. Gerry Pargen and her husband. Pat of Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chet Ettinger in 1991; a brother, William "Bill" Heckman; and a stepdaughter, Barbara Brown. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery.
