Alex Nieto - March 19, 1951 - November 4, 2007 - Lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007 after a long illness. Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Edward Nieto. Alex was a graduate of Valley High and employed in the Albuquerque area for many years before his illness. Alex was known for his love of music, great artistic abilities, kindness to children and animals and his sense of humor. He is survived by four sisters, Lillian Garcia and husband, George, Annie Trujillo and husband, Robert, Sophia Trujillo, Debbie Sanchez and husband, David; four brothers, Robert Pettit and wife, Teresa, Eddie Nieto and wife, Rosario, Larry Nieto and wife, Connie, Charlie Nieto and Rhonda Romero; numerous nieces and nephews, all of Albuquerque. A Rosary/Mass is to be conducted at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Church, 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW, at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2007. Interment of the cremains to follow at The Rose Garden Vista Verde Memorial Park 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho
