Sadie Lomeli, age 77, passed away in Albuquerque on Saturday, November 3, 2007. She was born in Cerro, NM to Ben and Victoria Garcia on March 21, 1930. Sadie was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David O. Lomeli; three daughters, Vicki L. Chavez and husband, Jerry, Patricia Lomeli and Gina Lomeli; two grandsons, Andrew L. Chavez and Steven M. Chavez; two brothers, Joe Garcia and wife, Annie of Birmingham, AL and Mike Garcia and wife, Nina, of Sierra Vista, AZ; sister, Cindy Cardona and husband, Tony of Coolidge, AZ; and many special nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who loved her and will miss her very much. Family was the foremost important thing in her life. Her love and passion for life was an inspiration for all, whether it was spending time with her family and friends or enjoying her much loved mariachi music. Married in Jerome, AZ, Sadie was a military wife for 25 years. One of the many joys of being a navy wife was the opportunity to travel and meet new friends. She had a smile for everyone she met and touched many people. Sadie was an incredible woman and we were blessed to have her in our lives. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the many friends and family who provided love and support during this very difficult period. We would also like to extend a very sincere appreciation to the kindness of Ambercare Hospice, Dr. Amy Tarnower and Dr. Dennie Jones. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007; 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, November 8, 2007; 1:00 p.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Monsignor Olona as the Celebrant. Ennichement will take place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mariachi Spectacular P.O.
