Obituary for MYERS

Joel Bruce Myers, born October 19, 1923 in French Corners, NM, to Francis Leroy Myers and Margie Bruce, was the eldest of four children: Joel, Ruth, Wayne, and Jean. Thursday, October, 25, 2007, he passed away peacefully at the Albuquerque VA Hospital. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Farmer, five sons: W. Martin and wife, Deanna, Dan E. and wife, Donna, W. Bruce and wife, Connie, R. Michael, and Anthony; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Joel attended Jefferson Jr. High and Albuquerque High School, served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, worked for Holloman and Kirtland Air Force bases as an airplane mechanic, and was an accomplished pilot. Since the late '80s he has been living on the family ranch in LaJara, NM. Both Memorial Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - one at the Regina Branch in Regina, NM, at 10:00 a.m., and the other at the Bernalillo Ward in Bernalillo, NM, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite cancer research group. In place of a viewing, there will be a video of Joel's life playing both before and following the Services.
