Obituary for MORELAND

Mark Dale Moreland born on October 31, 1963, passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2007 at the age of 43. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Lorenze "Ronnie" Moreland three years ago. Mark was a devoted father to his daughter, Jaymie and son, Matthew. Mark was a Realtor with ReMax Masters and was dedicated to his work, his clients, and his company. He was in real estate for approximately 15 years and always enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed golf and when asked by his younger brother Jeff to help his son Jeffrey get ready for golf tryouts, he took time out of his day to help his nephew. Mark was that type of guy, always ready to help anyone and everyone knew they could count on him. Mark's father was stationed in Spain while in the Air Force for 4 years and he would go to the beach as often as he could. Mark loved swimming in the ocean and met good friends while living in Spain. When Mark was in High School he played football and baseball at Manzano High School. Mark also played in a dart league with his sister, Dori, his cousin, Jack, and his uncle, Harry. Besides darts, Mark also sang karaoke whenever he had the chance and always loved to sing Elvis Presley songs. Mark is survived by his daughter, Jaymie and his son, Matthew. He loved them both with all his heart and would do anything to help them. Mark is also survived by his parents, Ufelia and Lorenzo, sister, Dori and husband, Roland, Dori's kids, Kari and husband, Vince and their son, Vinny and Dori's son, Chris, his brother Jeff and wife, Barbara, their two kids, Jeffrey and Jessica, his brother, Darryl and wife, Linda, and his brother, Ronnie's wife, Verna and Ronnie's son, Michael and fiancee, Kim, and Ronnie's daughter, Jennifer. Mark's Padrinos were Walter Fernandez and Mary Rodeheaver. Mark is also survived by numerous family and friends that he made during his lifetime. Pallbearers are his brothers, Jeff and Darryl, nephews, Chris Davis and Michael Moreland, his son, Matthew, and cousin, Jack Rodeheaver. Mark will be missed beyond what words can ever say. Viewing is planned for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with a Service starting at 6 p.m. at French Mortuary located at 10500 Lomas NE. A church Service is scheduled at La Mesa Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 located at 7401 Copper Ave. NE 87108 with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park located at 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
