Melton Carlton Benge, 78, a resident of Northwest Albuquerque since 1961, died on Monday, October 8, 2007. He is survived by his spouse, Mary of Albuquerque; children, Nansi Martin and husband, Chris Jones of Albuquerque, Cris Benge and wife, Tamara of Gahanna, OH, Carl Benge and wife, Lisa of Houston, TX, Colin Benge and wife, Pamela of Lovington, NM, Margaret Romero and husband, Porfirio of Albuquerque, Raymond Romero and wife, Vicky of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy Silva and husband, Freddy; grandchildren, Vanessa Martin of Albuquerque, Crystal Espinosa and husband, Guillermo of Rio Rancho, Zachary Benge of Santa Barbara, CA, Celissa Apodaca and husband, Rich of Albuquerque, Audra Benge of New York City, NY, Colton, Caleb, Kaci Benge of Lovington, Caitlin and Christian Benge of Houston, Fred and David of Albuquerque, Pamela and Frankie Lynn of Phoenix; sisters, Ima Gene Tarry of Springfield, MO and Lynda Espinoza of Albuquerque; brothers, George Benge and Benny Benge of Lovington, NM. He was a building general contractor, he loved to dance and was a horseman and hunter. Melton was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 11, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, family and friends may visit one hour prior to Celebration of Life. Graveside Services will be held Friday, October 12, 2007, 9:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
