Simon Romero went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2007 at the age of 69. He was born on November 4, 1937 to Manuel and Delfinia Romero. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Simon Julian Romero; his sister, Pauline Apodaca; and his brother, Nick Romero. He is survived by his son, Anthony Romero and his daughter, Ruby Romero; his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his siblings, Felix Romero, Lucy Romero, Ida Perea, Gil Romero and wife, Eileen of Las Vegas, NV, Christine Boyd and husband, David of Placitas, NM, and Theresa Garcia and husband, Gus. He will be missed by all. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October, 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. with place to be announced at a later time. Burial will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Romero, Robert Romero, Juan Saiz, Leo Perea, Juanito Sanchez, Andrew Torrez, and Ruben Chavez.
