Sara Elizabeth "Libby" (Hovious), 56, passed away Monday, September 10, 2007 at her home in Bowie, MD. She was the former Libby Hovious, a graduate of the University of Louisville with additional degrees from the University of West Florida and Webster University. At the time of her death she was a project manager for Northrop-Grumman in Merrifield, VA. Her passions were her family, quilting, piano, hiking and fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dixie and Loyd George Hovious. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Haas; two daughters, Ashley Alexander of Chicago, IL and Kelly Alexander of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Lynne Lyons (Tom) of Floyds Knobs, IN, Becky Higgins (Jim) and Melissa Amshoff (Phil) of Louisville; brother, Breck Hovious of Elizabethtown, KY; four grand children; four nieces; and two nephews. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3 at Pearson's Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY. Visitation will precede the service from 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lung Transplant Fund, INOV A Fairfax Hospital, Attn: Debbie Campbell, 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042.
