Joyce Roebuck, born January 19, 1918, passed away on September 6, 2007 at age 89. Joyce loved teaching in Plymouth, Michigan during and after WWII. She volunteered at Plymouth First United Methodist Church, was past president of the Garden Club and a Master Gardener. She was a wonderful seamstress, enjoyed preparing meals for her family and raising her children. Her soulmate, Harry preceded her in passing after 57 years of marriage. Mom was easy-going but insistent that everybody be ready to sit down to dinner at the same time, when even weekday meals were lavish. She made sure her family was secure, but was willing to let her children steer their own lives. She allowed her garden to spread, but set borders to keep it from overgrowing. She was open, honest and focused on the beauties of life. She is survived by her three children: Charles Roebuck of Michigan, Alan Roebuck and wife, Cyrene of Michigan, Shirley Staehlin and husband, Robert of Albuquerque; and two grandchildren, Shane Roebuck and Tiana Staehlin.
