Bobby Dean Burke, 83, beloved, husband, father, and grandfather, and lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on September 13, 2007. Mr. Burke was born on January 29, 1924 to Marriot and Helen (Roe) Burke of Albuquerque, NM. He served our country in the US Army and earned a Silver Star during World War II. Mr. Burke owned and operated Burke's Plumbing and Heating Company. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, camping, and gardening. He is survived by his children: Linda Berglund and husband, Dale, of Rio Rancho, NM, Dena Plagens and husband, Jim, of Albuquerque, NM, and Lonnie Burke and wife, Joan, also, of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren: Dean, Delreen, Diane, Cindy, Sally, Aaron, and James; 15 great-grandchildren; and very dear friends, Fred and Marie Yoshimoto. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie (CROSBY) Burke, and his parents, Marriot and Helen Burke. A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE, Albuquerque.
