Juanita (Jennie) B. Marquez passed to be with the Lord on September 9, 2007, in San Diego, CA. She was born in Los Chavez, NM on November 6, 1926, to Felipe and Isabelita Baca. Her husband, Jose R. Marquez, preceded her in death in 1974. She is the beloved mother of six children: Lupie Martinez, San Diego, CA; Phillip Marquez (Diana), Albuquerque; Isabel Conn (Raymond), Trinidad, CO; Precilla Otero (Charlie), Albuquerque; Daniel Marquez (Virginia), San Marcos, CA; and Josephine Salguero-Gonzales, Albuquerque. She was the cherished grandmother of twelve, and wonderful great-grandmother of ten children. Her love, spirit, vitality and energy will be lovingly remembered. Viewing will precede the Memorial Service at Salazar & Sons Mortuary on Saturday, September 15, 2007, at 400 Third St, SW from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Fruit Avenue Baptist Church, 812 Fruit St, NW, at 1:00 p.m. Burial Services will follow at Fairview/Sandia Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE. The immediate family respectably requests your understanding that a gathering will not be held upon completion of the Graveside Services.
