Agnes N. (Pat) Steele, a resident of Albuquerque for 37 years, died peacefully in her home Saturday morning. She is survived by her son, Bob of Albuquerque; son, Mike of Boulder, CO; daughter, Cindy Cummings of Albuquerque; son-in-law, Kevin Cummings of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Kevin Jr. and Gracie Cummings of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan and her husband, Gail. Pat loved being an "Air Force Wife" for more than 20 years. She and her family lived all over the world, including an extended stay in Morocco. There, she hosted her own children's radio show. Shortly after moving to Albuquerque in 1970, Pat began volunteering at Albuquerque Special Preschool for handicapped children, where she taught for more than 13 years. Pat and Gail enjoyed their retirement tremendously, living in the mountains outside of Taos for many years. Pat also loved gardening, socializing with friends, and spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at All Faiths Receiving Home, 1709 Moon St. NE Albuquerque, NM 87112. There will be a Memorial Service Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Pl. NE.
