Edward Joseph Brophy Jr., 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1989 passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Frances Kay Brophy; children, Marta Schindel, Laurie Roan and Edie Baley; grandchildren, Krissa Schindel, Cassie Roan, Johnathan Roan, and Jason Davis; and brother, James "Jay" Brophy-Ellison. Mr. Brophy had a passion for tennis, serving as the Assistant Director for the Lobo Tennis Club. After retiring from the US Army, Ed worked for the Social Security Administration in Albuquerque. Friends may visit French Mortuary Westside Chapel, Tuesday from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Tuesday 3:00 p.m. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd.
