Nelson Ray Kellems, 94, former Albuquerque resident, died Saturday, August 25, 2007. Mr. Kellems had lived in Albuquerque from 1940 until his move to Texas in September of 2006. He is survived by his sister, Elaine White of Kansas; nieces, Susan Demarest and her husband, Richard of Colorado; Ann Young of North Carolina; Debbie Moore and her husband, Mike of Texas; Vicki Miller and her husband, Jerry of Florida; sister-in-law, Bonnie Artz of Texas. Mr. Kellems was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, a Mason, a Shriner, and a WWII veteran. After retirement, he enjoyed growing roses, playing golf, fly fishing and making jewelry. Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
