LUIS Mr. Luis (Tejano) Martinez, 71, a resident of Peralta, NM passed away on August 29, 2007. Mr. Martinez is the beloved father to Donna Rodriguez and husband, Vincent, Theresa San Martin and husband, Mauro Jr., Annabelle Martinez and Mike, Danny Martinez, Patricia Martinez and Suzanne Garcia and Linda Martinez; four sisters, Leonela Sedillo and husband, Chris, Dora Segura and husband, Larry, Lucy Martinez, Rita Gongawera and husband, Dan; 11 grandchildren, Vanessa and husband, Richard, Desiree, Marie and husband, Marc, Chantell, Daniel Jr., Daxton, Devon, Danyall, Kristina, Katrina and Desi; three great-grandchildren, Emilio, Mateo and Marcello; two stepsons, Ivan and Joey; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Juanita Martinez; brothers and sisters, Lucas, Willie and Eddie Martinez, Ann Akers, and Albert Lucero. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. Cremation has taken place. A Rosary will be recited by Gabriella Nieto, Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Final visitation will be Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. by Father Gene Gries. Interment of Mr. Martinez's cremains will take place at a later date. Pallbearer will be Abie Herrera. Honorary pallbearers will be Tute Romero, Gilbert Sanchez, Orlando Lopez, Leo Sanchez, Rael Garcia, and Sonny Moya. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
