Gloria G. Baca, age 79, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2007. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Gloria previously worked for Presbyterian Hospital, Santa Fe Railroad, and Sandia National Laboratories. She then retired after 17 years of dedicated service as a secretary for the Belen Consolidate Schools Superintendent. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Baca; son, Jerry Baca; and brother, Philip A. Barajas. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Loretta (Jan) Jefferies of Anchorage, AK; granddaughter, Mary Margaret Camden-Sanchez of Montecello, CA; three great-grandchildren, Evan, Emily and Eli Sanchez; two sisters-in-law, Rachel Barajas of Albuquerque, NM and Susie Baca and family of Belen; two nieces; and many wonderful friends and neighbors who were like family to her. Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 beginning with a visitation at 6:30 p.m. and a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30 at 8:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. with Father Stephen Schultz presiding.
