Serenity Clarrissa Vega, our "Serenity Angel", age 3, gently passed away to become an angel in Heaven on August 23, 2007. Serenity was born on June 6, 2004 to Jason Vega and Isabel Lopez of Santa Fe, NM. Serenity moved to the Albuquerque area over a year ago. She loved to watch "The Wiggles," read books, play with spiders and snakes, to paint pictures for others to enjoy, and dress up and dance around. Serenity is survived by her parents; brother, Antonio Jerome Lopez; sisters, Antoinette Gabryelle Lopez and Anastacia Azaiylea Vega; grandparents, Crissie Murillo, Sheila Varela and Wayne Gallegos; godparents, Angela and Jesus Martinez and Steve Larranaga; uncles Fernando and Carlos Murrillo, Sam Lopez and Robert Lopez; and several cousins and other loving family members. The visitation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A second Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 28 at 9:30 a.m. with the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Place NE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers Fernando Murillo, Carlos Murillo, Antonio Lopez and Antoinette Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anastacia Vega, Audriana Martinez, Angelica Martinez, Ashley Quintana. The family would like to thank their social worker, Jessica Wiggins and the staff at UNM Hospital, the Children's Cancer; Fund of New Mexico, especially, Mary Ellen and "Christmas" Kurucz; and Serenity's special nurses, Roberta and Anna. A special thank you is also given to all who have lifted us in prayer during this difficult time.
