Candido A. "Candy" Padilla was born September 7, 1940 in Manzano, NM to Antonio and Stella Padilla. He passed away Friday, August 24, 2007 at his home in Albuquerque, NM. Candy is survived by his loving wife, Maria; son, Ruben; grandchildren, Champagne and A.J.; eight brothers; two sisters; 15 nephews; 14 nieces; four step-sons; one step-daughter; many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4th and Alameda NW. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Manzano Cemetery.
