Robert R. (Bob) Sowell, born May 19, 1928, left this earth May 28, 2007 in Port Angeles, WA. Bob received his BS degree from the University of Oklahoma and his master's degree from Oregon State. He worked for Sandia Labs for 39 years. After retirement Bob moved to the State of Washington due to his health. Bob was a Past Master of the Estancia Masonic Lodge. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn in 1960; parents, Rufus and Irene Sowell; a daughter, Jan Sowell Cowles; a brother, Dr. Harlan Sowell; a sister, Faye Walters; and a nephew, Dr. Doug Sowell. He is survived by his three children, son, Dr. Bok Sowell and wife, Jenny of Boseman, MT, a daughter, Wyn Sanchez and husband, Manuel of Las Vegas, NM, and a daugher, Marlys Sowell of Colorado Springs, CO; his brother, Wayne Sowell and wife, Patti of Los Lunas, NM; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two nieces; and four nephews. Bob, You will be greatly missed.
