Manuela (Mary) Lucero, age 92, a resident of La Verne, California passed away Monday, August 20, 2007. She was born December 1, 1914 in Chirisco, NM. She moved from Albuquerque to California 4 1/2 years ago to be with her family. She is survived by her two sons, James Lucero and wife, Diana of La Verne, CA and David Lucero of Fullerton, CA; grandchildren, Deborah Lamborghini, Leslie Monsouir, Christopher Lucero and Audrey Shendrick; great-grandchildren, Ian Lucero, Ashley and Taylor Lamborghini, Cole and Presley Shendrick; one brother, Ventura Chavez and wife, Crusita; sister-in-law, Carmen Chavez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her husband, Mauricio Lucero Jr. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, her cousin Rev.
