Hilda Layton, former Albuquerque resident, died at her Wood River, IL home on August 8, 2007. Hilda and her husband Les resided in Albuquerque from 1947 to 1968 and were the owners of Layton's TV and Appliance Service for may years in Albuquerque, moving to Missouri in 1968 to retire and then to Illinois in 1986. Hilda is survived by Les, her husband of 76 years, daughter Judy Layton Hoffman of Wood River, IL; son and daughter-in-law Spencer and Sue Layton of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Fred Johnstone and wife Suzy, Steven, David, Douglas and Tom Johnstone, Tim Hoffman and wife Chris, Donna Hoffman and Cynthia Layton Mascarenas and husband Larry and seven great-grandchildren. Hilda is preceded in death by her daughter Phyllis Layton Johnstone; her brother and her two sisters. Services on August 19 were entrusted to Paynic Home for Funerals in East Alton, IL.
