Betty J. Thompson, 84, passed away August 17, 2007. She was born April 17, 1923 in Topeka, Kansas to the late Henry and Stacy (Jolliff) Stevens. Betty's husband, Harry J. Thompson, died in 2000. Betty was pre-deceased by her brothers Max Stevens, Stanley Stevens and Charles Stevens, and her sister Nellie Parrish. Betty lived in Albuquerque for the majority of her life, but she has resided in Denver, Colorado since 2002 to be closer to her son. She is survived by her son, Jerrold Thompson of Centennial, Colorado, his wife Helen (Overton) Thompson, and their children Stacey Mitchell of Aurora, Colorado, her husband Eric Mitchell, and Scott Thompson of Puebla, Mexico, and his wife, Maru, and her great granddaughter, Addison Mitchell. Betty was a member of the Northdale Baptist Church when she lived in Albuquerque. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Chapel at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle NE. The Reverends Michael Hay and G.R. Patrick will officiate at the private graveside Services on Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park.
