Joey Padilla went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2007 at the age of 19. He was born on August 8, 1988 to Sharon Garcia and Anthony Marquez. Joey is survived by his mother and father; his siblings, Freddie Padilla and fiancee, Vanessa Diaz, Ashley Marquez, and Jeremy Marquez; his grandparents, Orlando and Pat Garcia; uncles and aunts, Derek Garcia and wife, Justina, Orlando Garcia and wife, Rosalee, Vincent Garcia, Victor Marquez, Isaac Marquez, Johnny Marquez, and Dolores Marquez. He is also survived by his cousins, Brandon, Derek Jr., Nathan, Lailah, Vincent Jr., Serenity, Ramon, and Monique. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitations for Joey will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2007 between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Garcia Mortuary, with a Prayer Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Final visitations will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. at Legacy Church with a Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment for Joey will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Pastors Kelvin McLoed and Tony Ramirez will be officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Anthony Marquez, Derek Garcia, Vincent Garcia, Ray Benavidez, Jonathon Benavidez and Kristin Patton. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Padilla, Jeremy Marquez, Brandon Romero, and Jacob Salas, Ramon Chavez and Mark Archuleta.
