Obituary for VAIO

Raymond Paul Vaio, 44, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lynn Vaio; three daughters, Bryanna, Kristina, and Taylor; mother, Mary Vaio of Albuquerque; sister, Liz Vaio of Austin, TX; aunts, Mildred Monte, Alice Cook, and Peggy Monte; and numerous other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Vaio. He was born on October 19, 1962 in Albuquerque, NM and graduated from St. Pius High School in 1981. Ray attended and graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS with a BS in Criminology. He worked for Southern Wine and Spirit for the last ten years. Ray was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and spent hours and hours with his daughters watching them play soccer for Rio Vista Football Club and Albuquerque United Futbol, and watching swim meets at the YMCA. He was also an original member of Deez Nutz soft ball team. His primary love in life was his wife and daughters. He was a devoted husband, loving father and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, August 17, 2007, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Saavedra, Miles Adkins, Calvin Allen, John Matteucci, Kim McCall, and Eugene Etheredge, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Lynn Vaio B.K.T." for the education of his daughters at any New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union Branch.
