Obituary for MADSEN

Milton Rees Madsen, 83 years young, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007. He resided at his home with his caring wife until days before he went to Presbyterian Hospice Care Center. Milt had a great sense of humor and was quick witted. He was a very active man. He loved golfing, and playing tennis with his pals. Milton, sometimes known as "Uncle Milty", was one of 13 children, and grew up in Brigham City, UT. He flew a B-17 for the Army Air Corp in WWII and worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 35 years. He is survived by his fun, loving, and artist wife and best friend for over 60 years, Mary; sons, Steven Madsen and partner, Sarah (Sally) Janpol, Jef Madsen and wife, Liz, Wade Madsen; daughter, Melynda Blackburn and husband, Kerry; grandchildren, Cory Madsen and partner, Kendra Peek, Sarah Madsen, Brittany, Aubrey and Alexandria Blackburn; and a new great-grandson, Jayden Madsen. He was liked and admired by everyone who ever knew him and loved by his family and friends. A private service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Celebration of Milt's life with friends and family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, go out to dinner, think of Milt's great sense of humor, and celebrate his extraordinary life.
