Virginia (Yager) Nelson, (93), a resident of Albuquerque NM for the past 10 years, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007. Her husband, Duane, preceded her in death by 20 years. She is survived by her son, Dr. Burke Nelson and wife, Ivonne, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Mark, Jill, Burke Jr. and Megan; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, James, Veronica, and Donovan. Born in Hastings, NE in 1914, she and her husband traveled extensively through his assignments with the U.S. Agriculture Department and the Agency for International Development. She most recently resided at Valle Norte Caring Center in Albuquerque. She will be buried at the family plot in Juniata, NE. A memorial service will be held, Friday, August 10, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
