Alice Marguerite Wilhite, 95, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Thursday, July 26, 2007. She was born August 18, 1911 in Carlsbad, NM, she was the daughter of James Carl Gordon, former Roswell Chief of Police, and Alice Rayroux Gordon of Vufflens, Switzerland. She was preceded in death by her husband J.R. Wilhite, a former owner of Ward Anderson Printing Co. She is survived by her son Bob Wilhite and wife Joyce of Carrollton, TX; Margie McCurry and husband Liam of Monterey, CA.; and her sister Rosalie Rains of Sacramento, CA.; grandchildren Glen Wilhite, Karen Bagley, Lori Taylor, Lee Taylor and Mike Taylor; and 10 great grandchildren; and her many friends at Bear Canyon Estates where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007. Family cemetery services will be held Monday morning at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial gifts may be sent to New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, Boys Ranch, NM 87992.
