Allen Keith McGill passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007, age 84. He served his country and his family in the US Air Force, flying bombers in combat in WWII, transports in the Berlin Airlift, and all manner of airplanes as a test pilot. Keith was instrumental in fielding Minute Man missiles. In addition to Senior Command Pilot wings he wore the badge of Senior Command Space Operations. He retired from the Air Force in 1974 as a Colonel, and began a second career in business, forming a partnership with his wife, and his brother-in-law in Seattle, importing goods from all over the world. His passing is mourned by his daughter, Katherine Kristine McGill-Reaves and her husband, Bill Reaves; and his son, Greg McGill and wife, Vicki; and grandchildren, Gerritt and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Marita McGill, who died in 2006. A true citizen of the world, he left a small farming community in 1942 to follow a path of adventure and excitement all around the entire globe. At the same time, he never left home at all, but carried it with him. He taught us about Faith and Love.
