Obituary for FERNANDEZ

Alfredo Fernandez, age 90 peacefully passed away in Grapevine, TX. on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. He was born at the ranch in Vadito, NM to J.D. and Juanita B. Fernandez. Alfredo served his country in the United States Air Force in WWII. He worked for and retired from Sandia Laboratories with over 30 years service. Alfredo was a lifetime member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette a founding member of the church. Alfredo loved the outdoors, he loved to fish and camp, he loved to dance. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, he will always be missed and his love for his family will never be forgotten. Alfredo is survived by his children, sons Carlos and his wife, Maryann Fernandez, Jaime Fernandez both of Albuquerque, NM and his daughter, Dolores Wold of Grapevine, TX.; four grandchildren, Rhiannon and husband, Mike, Timothy, Matthew and Leandra. He is also survived by one brother, Joe Fernandez and wife, Josie of Santa Fe, NM and one sister, Lala Fernandez of Albuquerque, NM and numerous nieces and nephews. Alfredo is also survived by numerous members of Maria Fernandez's family. Alfredo is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Fernandez also three sisters and three brothers. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be recited at French Mortuary Wyoming Chapel on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 7:00p.m. The Mass will be on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 9:00am at The Shrine of St. Bernadette's with Father Zotter as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Monday, July 30, 2007, 6:00 p.m. until the Rosary.
